Overview

For new MINI vehicles, with the Blue-

tooth hands free kit with USB Audio

Interface (option code 6ND) or Blue-

tooth mobile preparation with USB

Audio Interface (option code 6NE)

telephony and audio player function-

ality of compatible mobile phones is

fully integrated in the vehicle and can

be operated via the vehicle's control

elements.*

The following tables list selected mobile

phones tested by the BMW Group and

the evaluation of their interoperability

with option code 6ND/6NE. Please note,

that there are different tables,

depending on the selected vehicle

configuration:

The information on compatibility in

this table refers exclusively to current

new vehicles (vehicles with

production date August 2010 or

later). Contact your MINI Service

Centre or the BMW hotline for

detailed information on compatibility

for vehicles with an earlier

production date.

For a better overview, the functions

supported by a mobile phone in combi-

nation with the MINI mobile phone

preparations with Bluetooth interface

assigned to a function group and evalu-

ated with regard to support and reliabil-

ity. The function groups are explained

below.

For fault-free operation of the mobile

phone inside the vehicle in

combination with option code 6NE,

the BMW Group recommends the use

of a snap-in adapter to ensure that

the mobile phone is secured safely,

that it is charged and connected with

the external antenna.

However, the electromagnetic field

intensity inside the vehicle can only be

minimized for mobile phones with a

connector for an external antenna.

For selected mobile phones, the BMW

Group offers USB-Snap-In Adapters

(only in combination with option code

6NE), that additionally connect the USB

port of the mobile phone with the

vehicle. An USB Snap-In Adapter

additionally allows to access to audio

files stored on a mobile phone. The

tables below shows for which mobile

phones a USB Snap-In Adapter is

available.

This information is updated regularly to

cover new Bluetooth mobile phones.

Option Codes 6ND and 6NE are not

available in all markets.
